ABOUT BELIZE

Belize is the only English-speaking country in Central America. Bounded by Mexico on the North, Guatemala on the West and the Caribbean Sea on the South and East, it has a population of about 250,000 people, encompassing a broad spectrum of ethnicities and cultures.

The white sandy beaches of Ambergris Caye, the most popular island, attract thousands of tourists every year.

The coral reef is the most splendid in the western hemisphere with 250 species of fish and colorful coral, incomparable diving, snorkeling and deep sea fishing.

More than 900 Mayan ruins are scattered around the country.

With its subtropical climate - the annual temperature averages 80 degrees Fahrenheit -, its sparkling turquoise waters and the treasures of its rainforest, Belize is one of the best exotic destinations in the world.

There are daily non-stop flights from Houston, Dallas and Miami to the International Airport just outside Belize City.
There will soon be a new international airport in Chetumal, Mexico, a few miles away from Belize and Consejo Shores.
